(Mayurasan) Peacock pose





Mayurassan is a Sanskrit word. It is called peacock in Hindi. Mayurassan is a difficult posture. But some time it becomes accessible after practice. Our yoga sages have given different names to animals in the name of birds. All those postures are in Sanskrit language. One of them is to create a peacock-like body shape like a peacock. The peacock also consumes small insects and snakes. Mayurassan helps to get the toxin out of the body. Digestion makes the digestive system strong. And all the stomach related disorders are cured. Mayurassan is also beneficial for the diabetic patient.




How to do Mayurassan?


Method of Mayurassan:




1) First of all, sit on your knees by laying mat or yoga mat. And sitting on your knees is called Vajrasana.


2) Keep your hands on the ground, keep the direction of your fingers towards the feet.


3) Now, while inhaling, put both the back and the cone nuclei of both hands in both the arms.


4) Place the head on the earth and raise both the legs above the earth till the balance of the body is made on both hands, then when the balance of the body is restored on the hands, then raise the head up and look forward in this posture as much as power Time may remain.


5) Now slowly put your feet on the earth and come to the former position Vajrasana and bow forward and do Shashank Asanas.


Repeat the practice of Mayurasana 2 or 3 times and initially do this asana for 3 to 5 seconds.





 Benefits of Muarasan

1) Digestive system becomes active and strong.

2) By increasing gastric fire, there is an increase in appetite.

3) There is a sharp and oozing of face.

4) Strengthens the abdominal muscle.

5) Performing regular Muarasan strengthens the wrist and arms of the hand.

 6) The body expends extra energy while doing this asana. So the body uses fat and blood glucose for extra energy. This reason is beneficial in controlling diabetes in the body.

7) While doing this asana, the flow of blood in the body from the head and the light of the eyes increases.





What precautions should be taken while doing Muarasan

If you have problems with high blood pressure, heart disease, hernia, peptic ulcer, stomach operation, etc., do not do this asana.
